The wing is going on tonight or tomorrow. Ted sent me a drawing for locating the pylon mounting holes, but I am agonizing over finding the center datum. I know the canopy is going to be slightly different from one to the next.

Any suggestions? Here's the drawing (it's in AutoCAD if anyone wants it).

Scott,
I used the lights to help me find the center. Use lots of silver sharpie and take our time. Remember measure twice, drill once.

Tried the lights. In making initial measurements, it seems they are not equidistant from the right/left edges.

Ended up pulling a fishing line from the front of the canopy to the back, over the rear lip, and down to the license plate. Measured as close as possible, but basically eye-balled it...move, measure, eye-ball again, and again, and again.

It's on and it looks good. If someone took a measuring stick to it, they might find the differences. Otherwise, it looks just fine...excellent, in fact. It's another huge step to seeing the completed car. SWEET!
