Hi there

I have a 96 Griff with alarm key fob with 2 buttons (I believe this is the earlier type of alarm).

I haven't found a way of disabling the alarm to start the car (eg. in a petrol station) without first setting and then unsetting the alarm before starting the car.

Normally (on a 98 car I had) you can just disable the alarm and then start the car by pressing the alarm fob.

Am I missing something?

Have you tried pressing the bipper with the key in the ignition?

I have a '95 and I have to do the same, I just thought it was another TVR quirk :-) When I start the car the windscreen wipers usually do a single wipe across the screen and back!

I'll try the key in the ignition trick as well, see if that does any good - I have the feeling I have tried this before though, to no avail

yes - the alarm horn sounds if I try this so does not seem to work

Oops! I have a Meta Aquila M99/M36T2 and it works fine. Maybe it's time to call Carl?

not sure which model number I have (I will check) but the sales guy at Fernhurst demonstrated it by arming and disarming so maybe that's the only option

thanks
