Does anybody know of a decent screen suplier/fitter in Kent? Apparently the gentleman who normally does this is no longer in Maidstone?

I have actually booked into Autoglass Tonbridge as they have guaranteed that they have a fitter who has done these before....They said all the right things in that they would need the car for the day at least. I said that I didnt want anybody working on the car who had not done one before, so we shall see..I will take digital photos before I drop it off, and will let you know how it goes

Whilst in the middle of typing this I had a call from the fitter who said that he was going to be asigned the whole day just to work on my car! He talked me through the pit falls and he guaranteed me he had done numerous ones before. Have to say I feel a little more relaxed than I did before! Its booked in for the 29th (as he wanted time to make sure the screen was perfect before he started to fit it)so will post when I get the car back.

Well, had the windscreen changed by Autoglass Tonbridge and I have to say, they did an excellent job! I was very pleased when I picked it up - no leaks, nicks in the trim, scratches to the bonnet and they even put back my Hagerty sticker!
I took the car to Waldenway yesterday for its MOT (which it passed with flying colours, no advice notices eitherwoohoocool) and Paul gave the screen the once over. He said, that he had to admit that they had done a "pretty good job". He did add some extra sealant on the passenger side as the trim was starting to come away, but overall pretty impressive. If you are thinking of having your screen replaced I would suggest that you give Paul a call at Waldenway for his opinion.
