Roof Hoop Seal

I may need to replace the above as it is splitting where the window pushes it back at the drivers side. It is stuck with super glue at the moment but should be easy to do as it looks like it just pushes onto the hoop. I've looked at the Steve Parker website and see it refers to Woolies Trim with a ref 266; there are 2 different ones 266BLK and 266A shown on their website. Does anyone know which is the correct one and also whether it is easy to do or does the trim all come undone when the old on is pulled off ...??
Maybe I can get the new seal at S Club as there should be plenty of stuff there??

I have only had my S2 for a couple of months and I have not had to do this job yet.

I did however, find an article on the TVR S Series website about 'Rear Roof Section Removal' and it details on page three the removal of your Hoop seal. It appears to be a pull off/push on type, like most door seals. My bet is that Woolies will be at the Kit Car Show in Newark, as they live on the north side of Peterborough: If you are going to S Club Heaven, you could check with them about the right one.

I suspect it is 266-BLK (formerly just 266) 16mm - a very common size that I have used from Woolies:

266A (19mm with a larger snappon) may be the long seal for the doors & screen.

Thanks for the inputs - it certainly comes off easily - I've tried it at one end and it has gone back OK so maybe the S club solution is the one. It isn't a problem at the moment but its on the list for as and when - it could even be an S Club job to do there!!
Later - I've just looked again at the woolies website and it lists the shows they are attending and the Kit Car show isn't one but maybe there will be someone with the right stuff there - there generally is at shows like Tatton so I would think the kit car show is even more likely to have trim people there.

tvrcarparts.com list the hoop seal at £6 per meter. I think you need about 3m in all.

I did the same job on my old Griff & can confirm it was a simple pull off/push on job although I took the oppurtunity to re-glue the material which was coming away at each end.

The correct one from woolies trim is 266A I have used this and it is perfect and the job easy to do. I ordered 2m and received 2.4m and this did the job with plenty left over.

Thanks Mark - I emailled Woolies yesterday afternoon to ask if they knew which was the right one and they came straight back and asked for my address so they could send me a sample of both to try; can't fault the service there!

They have done the same for me with cloth/vinyl specs. Their delivery time from order was only 24hrs too (although they don't work weekends. Excellent company IMHO.

The samples have arrived from Woolies and the 266A is an excellent fit on the hoop - BUT - the profile is not the same as the one that is on at the moment. The 266A has the rubber 'cushion' bit as a circle of rubber which is detached from the side of the mount and held on by a single bit of rubber; when the window comes up it rises and moves backwards which will distort the large rubber circle and as it is only fixed in one spot (as opposed to the currently fitted seal which has the rubber cushion fitted at both sides) and squash it back against the hoop which is not what I want as the rearward space behind the seal acts as a gutter I think. I can't see the correct profile in the Woolies catalogue so does anyone know of a source for the correct profile or is the TVR Car parts stuff the correct one??

Later: Just been talking to Neil at TVR Car parts; they have the original stuff from the same supplier as TVR so have ordered some.
