None, which is a shame as I've heard that they make prizes...

ETA actually I had 3 on 31 Jan 03 which was a right pain as my car *and* bike insurance is due on 28th frown All clear now though. Was for 37 in a 30.

Only ever had 3 speeding tickets since passing my test in 1970, last one in '94. Two were wires across the road, one a gun - all of them in 30mph zones.

3 points - due off soon.

94 on an (empty) M-Way. Verily shat myself while sat in the back of the police car as my speedo was reading over 100...

3 points - empty motorway, plod in a car on a bridge. I saw it but not before it saw me. Must have a very long range - well over a mile. Still, it was Scotland, just befor New Year, and I guess they were collecting for the beer.

All clear now, but have had :

3 for stopping in the wrong place ( don't ask )
6 for being gunned at 62 in 30 ( err, I was overtaking so had to get passed quickly officer - I'll get my coat )
4 for 92 on a motorway ( marked car came up behind me )

Not bad for 20 years of driving like I stole it......

3 points got VASCARed at 79.8mph* over 4 miles at 3am on the M20 as I came off the ferry.

*That did include 2 miles of roadworks where i apparently slowed to 60

Good effort. A freind of mine was done at the same time of day coming off a ferry, but got caught before reaching the Motorway. The conversation went :

"did you know you were doing 48 mph in a 30 zone?"

" don't you have any kind of discretion, it is the middle of the night with no traffic etc!"

" I have up to 15mph of discretion, which you were over"

"so, your going to nick me for being 3mph over your limit"

"No, I am going to nick you for being 18mph over THE limit"

Forgot to mention mine was in an '89 Volvo 740 Estate, with a broken speedo.

way too many paperbag

All of them on fast open roads with rediculously low speed limits and caught by a cop hiding in a hedge with a 20/20 laser gun cos they know its a fast open road that not even lorries adhere to the speed limit on rantingcensored. Twice up in front of the judge to plead for my license

Currently nine, three just coming off.......It makes you drive like Miss Daisy!! And makes you a worse driver because you are constantly looking down, in dodgy looking bushes and at scamreas as you go thru. all a little over the limit and two very close together and on for another two years yet.

Deep Joy.
