Had the Griff a week now.
Discussion
And im loving it.Done about 400 miles already, only had it sideways once ,easily corrected with the superb non assisted steering but not something i want to make a habit of.Jaw droppingly fast with a fantastic sound track, the state of art ice has barely been touched.
Only a few things have fell off,the drivers door mirror glass both reflectors inside the doors and one of the speaker covers
Oh and its started dropping a bit of oil, might be front crankshaft seal I think ,will investigate further at the weekend.
On the whole I cant be too disappointed it is a 13 ear old car afterall and these issues will be attended to shortly along with maybe some new carpets
One thing I have noticed is that I feel a lot calmer when driving it especially with the hood down .Im more prepared to let other cars out of side streets or pull over first to let drivers through, any beginnings of road rage seem to have been banished.Maybe Im just happier or in less of a hurry to reach my destination.
All my familly ,friends and people at work love it and I keep getting pestered by neighbours who Ive hardly spoken to before but in a nice kind of way.One colleague whos P&J is his 2.7 Boxster has took the P155 over the aforementioned bits falling off but when I took him for a spin he first went very quiet and later said BLOODY HELL THATS QUICK
All in all a great first week ,looking forward to the rest of the summer even the little jobs ive got to do .
Cheers all Andy.

I've had mine 11 years, the love affair never dies! She may throw a strop from time to time and demand some attention, but aren't the best things in life like that?!
Enjoy!
ps. You know you're really hooked when you can't help but take photos in strange places like Morrissons car parks!

Anthracite Team Dynamics pro-race 1.2's .. 7x17 ET25 and 8x18 ET35 with Toyo T1-R 215/40 17 and 245/35 18 respectively ...
They make the brakes look too small though, I have Ford Focus RS front discs 325x28mm with Brembo 4 pots pending! The focus discs are the same stud PCD and centre bore so should bolt straight on, just needs caliper mounting brackets made up! If you want to go less drastic on the brakes, the 300mm ST170 focus discs should also fit - perhaps under 15's? ..

I was in the Grif one day at traffic lights, a lad in a Fiesta drives up behind; he's kinda waving his hand, indicating a pushing down motion. Ahh, I get it .. a blat of the revs and I get a thumbs up! No races, no silly stuff, just wanted to hear a real engine
I get that sort of reaction on a regular basis. The other day I was waiting at the lights and there were three lads in a van behind me. I watched The driver in my miror and he couldn't contain his excitement. While the Griff burbled away on tickover, he was pointing, then thumbs up and as I pulled away he was punching the air! I know it's childish but I started feeling smug and grinning a lot
It goes with the car.Gassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
