Is anyone considering a Tesla Roadster
Discussion
Sorry if this doesn't belong in this forum, but I'd be interested to know if any of you guys are considering one of these?

Porsche money admittedly, but I think it's a great concept and it's built by Lotus
I'm thinking metallic white with grey seats?

How is this related to Italian cars?
To be honest, I wanted to see what people with a thoroughbred in their stable thought of it. Whether they'd consider it as a runaround, bit of fun etc. (I've seen some talk of the new Fiat along the same lines). Please feel free to delete this topic if it doesn't belong here.
You sure it's built by Lotus? It's surely built by Tesla based on the Lotus platform. That's what I was lead to believe anyway.
Must be quite a surreal experience to drive, but these cars can never ever replace the sound you get from an engine. Just watch the vid in the LP560 thread below - then try and imagine living without that in your life.

Right so anyone with a Koenigsegg, Caparo, Ascari, Fabrio, and a new German Lambo etc get out. Apparently your not welcome here!!Try posting this in the Lotus forum, there have been a few conversations about it and we're a little less harsh over there!.

Legitimate question, whichever forum. These are ca. $100k in the US, and at £50K I'd certainly have one, mainly because I like the look, and I think it'd be a lot of fun. At €100k though, it's just too much for what it is, and for the privilage of being an early adopter. There is a whole raft of electric vehicles in the pipeline so the best thing to do right now is sit tight.

So by the look of the following figures:
0-100km/h in 4.0 secs
200km/h
you will pretty much be bored in a little over 10secs when you hit top speed all the time.
No?
0-60 is only 5.7 with current gearbox0-100km/h in 4.0 secs

No?
