Flew through the MoT but......

Just took the Chim down for an MoT and she flew through with no advisorys except the rear fog light switch, it won't turn off... It's been a bit sticky for a while now, but the mechinism inside seems to have finally given up and it won't latch in the off position. The light goes off when you push the button in, but it won't stay there...

So two questions really:

1. Is the switch a sealed unit ie, can I take it apart and repair it? I've had the switch off before but can't remember what it looks like from the back...
2. If it is buggered, does anyone have a replacement? I'd like to avoid Bell Hill as I've heard they charge ludicrous amounts for such items!

It's a late 97 model so is the shiney metal one, not the black plastic one

Mine did this, turned out to be just catching on the dash panel, slight adjustment and it worked fine again mate.

possibly, may help you worth a try, failing that, can you pull the fuse for now to turn it off?
