Be interested to hear what products beside the polishes and
wax's people are using to coat their pristine front end to
ensure removal of summer grime and bugs is made a tad easier
after a long drive. I know the answer is obvious, eat lots
of spinach and get arms like POPEYE but there has to be an
easier way !

Lay a wet warm towel over the offending area and leave for a few minutes then the little beasties and their internals come off a lot easier.

Mr Muscle - loves the jobs you hate.
Spray on offending remains, soak for 5 mins, wipe clean.

Mr Muscle? Is it ok on the paintwork?

I find the lawn sprinkler for 10 minutes works fine. Great for rinsing salt off the underside too.

Would say Mr Muscle is too aggressive for paint work.

Autoglym car shampoo - soak and leave for five minutes - then they just wipe straight off. Plus the shampoo is ph neutral so won't remove any polish/wax on the car smile

Baby wipes - a sort of panacea for all things dirty.

A few quick rubs and those flies are gone!

...my God...I sound like a Cillit Bang advert!

Seriously - give them a try - good for interiors too!

As long as you use soft cloth after soaking or a baby wipe - no problem.
No damage to paintwork as far as I can see.

Soak with warm water for a few minutes. Agree that babywipes are ok too. I use Turtle Wax Tar & Bug remover - spray on, leave for 5mins, wash car normally and they're all gone. thumbup

I use AutoGlym bug remover spray with one of those cotton mesh covered sponges - very effective combination.

Fair enough! but if you're doing this i'd recomend you dilute it say 5:1, if you're going to use that, you may be better off using an All purpose cleaner, meguiars and AG do them.
