Calling all Porsche 968 fans or owners - a number of us are gathering at the above trackday at Donington, some are tracking and some passengering/watching.

We hope to have a good sociable day and whilst we are at it to set a new UK record for 968's on a day long trackday - previous record for these relatively rare Porsche models was 8 on track at Bedford in Feb 2008. Some of the cars coming are the very best examples of modded, road legal or indeed racecars around -- there might even be a 968 Turbo S or two in a static display! 911 & PorscheWorld magazine are due to send a photographer.

Come along, track if you can or chat to your hearts content to like minded folk. Access to all areas is free and the paddock diner will be open all day for food.

Yes, it's Donington.

Here's the PCGB track day calendar: http://www.porscheclubmotorsport.co.uk/content/tra...

As they're stuck in the dark ages, you've got to fill in a form and post it to them with a cheque to book. Here's the form: http://www.porscheclubmotorsport.co.uk/content/tra...

I think Fraser is coming along too (but not on track unfortunately), who's also got a Supercharged 968. See similar thread on Porsche PH Forum.

Sean - I'm willing to take it at face value that you can drive a bit. And I am not foolish enough to dispute that like-for-like, a 964 RS and GT3 are both markably quicker around a circuit than a 968. However I believe most RS and GT3 owners like to pose as much as they do drive, and as such I believe few have really got to grips with driving a rear engined car fast.

The latest tally is 13 968s on track, and I don't doubt that some of the guys who'll be there can't drive. However some can, and look forward to taking a few scalps of much more exotic machinery.winkevil

Are you on the 968uk site Shawn? If so, what's your username on there? There's a thread there detailing who's going - if you're not a member, I'll add you to that list if that's ok. I'm sure there's plenty of 968 owners who'd like a closer look at you SC car.

No not yet, keep meaning to join. Now on the PCGB site though.
Please feel free to add to site, no guarantees the car will be there though!
I have had about 10 different dates when the car would be finished starting the end of March (been there since 1st March), a without fail promise of 16th May which has passed. Ultimatum of today which they failed yet again to meet, now they have to wait for me to come back from Hol's.
I am hopefull to get it for the 4th June, if not my friends Boxster S company car(which is a very refined tool, does has to be said, Thanks David)will be at Donington.
See you there

PS Spoke to PCGB today there is only a few places left.

So come on you 968 owners lets double the last number!
