Ah yes, the slick shod drifter smile I remember. Did you find out where that smoke came from?

David

Engine's out and I can see one of the Exhaust valve guides resting on the back of the valve head in no3! definitely not right smile have to thank whoever caused the red flag though as it's quite likely it would have had a big failure had I have done one more lap

I'm still waiting for my photos from those two guys who were there as passengers and photographers. He had some really good pics of me on track, which could be the only proof that I was even there!!!!

Funnily enough I'm itching to do another track day asap. As Abingdon was my first, where would be best to go next? I'd like to try a proper permanent circuit but will probably go for an airfield again, but try to get a bit more track time in. I need to try a brake cooling mod on my car, it was cooking ankles of passers by in the pits!!!

You do a fab job considering you're driving a lot of the day as well!!

If that was the conversation at the tea-wagon, then your forthcoming 'arrival' ended up being a topic of conversation at dinner that night! thumbup

I'd say Bedford. So long as your car is quiet enough. Very different experiance to Abingdon, but significantly more wear and tear on the car. Particularly pads....oops.

Noise isn't a problem. I've got an OEM exhaust and was told by the noise tester at Abingdon that it was too quiet!! I've got a cooling mod to try on the front brakes before my next trackday, but an evening session at Bedford could be ideal. Do they do evenings?
