Is it all just part of the fun, or is it juvenile and a wee bit sad.

I'm in the all part of the fun camp, but if you've ever raced with me you already know that.

Definitely all part of the fun, cant beat a bit of showmanship. Even better if you have such a huge lead, you can do a nice 180 and cross the line in reverse just before your competitors catch you up. Most satisfying.

Mandatory showboating when you've got a decent enough lead.
As is lairy oversteer at every opportunity when miles in front.

was racing the other day and some Muppet hand braked it over the line on lap 4 of 5, which i though was hilarious, until he stropped and ended the race (he was the host)

They definitely need a mod to punish hosts who end the game.

I am pretty sure 90% of the time it is not network issues but people quitting. Maybe a 24 hour ban from the network if cancel out during a race.

Handbrake over line is mandatory, but must be cautioned as the penultimate lap 180 into wall then dropped first place to fifth is incredibly demoralising hehe

Everyone's done it at some stage! biggrin
Key is to still win the race for bonus smug points.

I was having a decent race with some yank kiddy on Forza 2 in a pair of pretty well matched 911s. The problem I had was I was absolutely flat out, and he was drifting around every corner.

It's embarrassing to feel you've got a corner nailed perfectly, and to be passed on the outside by an identical car that's sideways with smoke pouring off the rear tyres...

I only do it if someone has driven like a prick, just to show off a bit smile

If I win, I usually do the F1 style swerve across to the pit lane, makes me feel good hehe

I started in NFS2U, got to be a habit. Now its compulsory when playing at lunchtime with the guys at work. Helps when you're driving a 650bhp gt500 though.
