CLS55 BHP Query

My April 06 CLS55 seems to have "several" power outputs, just for interest does anyone know what it is exactly - most accurate I have is 475BHP

Its a great car, always a sense of occasion when getting in - only downside is the HK logic 7 stereo that just doesnt go loud enough for me

I have HK 7 in my E55 Estate and it loud enougth to make my ears bleed.....
I had heard that the bhp out put was 500 bhp and was quoted as 476 to make the top of the range SL 55 look the more powerfull car.

Its what your used to I spose, but it just doesnt cut it - maybe I should get it checked ?

Ok, serious hat on. Do you mean it lacks bass? My 2001 CLK seems to have a pretty good sound (quality and bass) such that unlike with previous cars, I haven't bothered to replace anything. Get the wiring checked esp on the rear speakers. Maybe something's come loose. Rewinding a step, have you checked the settings for treble and bass are ok? And is it the sound for the radio or MP3 player input? The aux-in is notably quieter than the radio or CD.

Funnily enough I had Ultravox / Ultravox on this morning and it was really loud, bassy, clear and quality sound, Im thinking my old Big Country CD`s my have lost a bit of ooomph ?

All settings checked - have asked for a listen to another CLS (350) with HK for comparison

This is what I've been told by a dealership (though it was the CL55 not the SL)

The E55 (not CLS though the same applies) was under-quoted on power as the weight difference actually made it quicker than the flagship CL (at least on paper)

To be honest, 24 horse doesn't make a great deal of difference at around the 500 mark (at least to me)
