JP Exhaust on my T350

I have just treated my T350 to a JP exhaust, and although the sound is fantastic and really suits the car, it seems to hurt my ears! I'm not joking! I think it's more the frequency than the loudness. Is there anything that can be done to this exhaust to change the frequency or quieten it a bit? Insulation outside or packing inside perhaps? I thought I was going to be more worried about my neighbours complaints when I leave at 5.30 each morning, but unfortunately this is worrying me more! I realise this is an outrageous question, but it feels like my head's being squashed whilst driving and for a few hours after!

For anyone pondering whether to get a sports exhaust or which to get, I can confirm that the JP changes that weedy snarl to a monstrous low pitch rumble, not dissimilar to my old Chim. You won't be disappointed!

My T350 is been serviced at the moment and they are fitting TVR power exhaust for me, hope it is as loud. Cant wait.

My friend used ear plugs in his Exige with full sports exhaust on long journeys..

Yep, I'd say so too, but not necessarily mine yet! I took the car over to Barnet TVR (TriMar) for a quick look, and the guy that drove it into the workshop noticed the problem immediately, which was a relief! Like me, he felt a pain deep in the ear and down the cheek, and suggested it was a resonance issue. Up on the ramp he noticed that the 'pin' that extends through the central exhaust hanger was touching part of the chassis, and reckoned that might be the cause and so trimmed off the end of the protruding pin. As my ears were still ringing it was impossible to know if this had solved the problem on the drive home, so I'll have to wait til the morning. Fingers crossed!

Drove to work this morning with the joys of a JP rumble and no earache! So, it was the metal pin thingy touching a bit of metal chassis thingy that was causing resonance (no noise) and face ache! Just the thought of that resonantion sensation makes my jaw ache! Really weird and unpleasant feeling. Probably not a bad way to saboutage an enemy's car, for all those "how can I get back at my neighbour" posts!
