Bit of a late thanks, but only just back in Cov properly... thanks to all of the above for thier roles in helping us do the clutch in time for this weekends Sprint - thankfully we just about made it, despite a few set backs - it went fine. smile

TrackCar - thanks for sorting the slave/master for us at such ridiculously short notice! Sorry I couldnt pop up and have a chat, see you soon hopefully.
MadMark - your instructions were ace, thanks! beer
RaceProved - Lovely looking clutch, we'll give it hell and see how it fairs... evil

Not a bad job all in, bit of a pain when sleep deprived, under the car held only on axle stands/wheel ramps, whilst lying on gravel. eek ah well, car went fine except the mil light stayed on for a fair while - reckon it was due to the heavy rain hopefully... either way, it sprinted fine at big revs eekthumbup

funny you mention the mil light staying on after rain. Sadly I just got caught out, and my freshly waxed cerb was parked up in the heavey rain for a hour. Started up afterwards and the mil light was on. its now in the garage - drying out - which I hope will solve the issue. Did yours go out?

I've had MIL light issues during extreme rain and lots of road water. Apparently there are sensors which are poorly located and as a result can get drenched (no know more about which type of sensors sorry). However, it did dry out and sort itself out eventually.

The reason I am posting is that the next time it happened, I thought it might be the same thing, but resulted in me pouring water out of the ECU. You might like to just check for any leaks?

A.

checked the ECU, dads waiting to hook it up to the laptop and see what errors occur... pretty sure it was just rain related though, the bonnet was open for six hours of rain... last time I was back home at the weekend, the mil light wasnt going on at all, everything was fine. smile

Edit: I actually hadnt been in the Cerb for a few weeks - its fking hilariously scary!! evil

The water temp sensor in the pipes under front cover is susceptable to water. If you have enough slack in the cable, putting a loop in it will help.
