Cost of DAS?

Hi all,

I'm based in SW London and planning on doing my DAS shortly, probably over a series of weekends.

In short, what sort of price should i be looking for, roughly? Based on the following;

I don't have my CBT
I would do it over a series of weekends
I don't have the theory / hazard perception
Assuming i passed it first time

What would be a guide figure? Just want to ensure i'm not being ripped off.

i think my theory is £30

and DAS (inc CBT) i think i'm looking at between £350 and £500, for a 4 1/2 day course.

still looking round so far

so £500 all in basicly, seems a common price anyway.

General cost for Das around the midlands seems to be 500-550.

I've booked the circuit based one at mallory park which does a lot of high speed training on the circuit... Its a fair chunk more expensive (750), but if it gives me th skills to ride properly seems worth it..


All in with CBT, Theory, DAS Im not going to have much change out of a Grand :yikes;

Trousers
Jacket
helmet


Oh and not forgetting the bike !!!!


In total From walking to Biking I think its going to have cost me about 6.5k goos job i got a good deal on the Duc

You forgot to mention first year insurance costs as well.

Plus all the fuel you'll be burning when you cant stop yourself riding after you've passed.

Insurance is in that figure ;-) not bad I thought at just over 300 quid !!

mine included the test

I paid about £550-600 for my DAS. But didn't pass First time so then had another nearly £200 to pay out and that's in Yorkshire so Maybe more down South.
I'd Budget on £800 to pass your test and any left over is a bonus .

and you'll be paying about £600, job done.

It cost me £480 all in, however prices do very lots .

done my CBT on the Sat, then passed the test with 1 minor after 4 days training!

i did mine in jan 07 for £500 all in, so yes.

I paid £780 for my DAS thats CBT, theory training, Theory test, Bike loan (125 XR) + safety gear loan for 6 days for some exp, then a single hour 500cc familiarisation (this sun!) and two days of two hour training before my test.

Its expensive but so far really good training!

Mine is £410 all in.

Includes the DAS, test, and bike. (3 day course)
