Noticed that the 'TVR serial plate' on the underbonet n/s wing is covered in plastic, which in turn looks a bit tatty.
Closer inspection - it looks like the chassis number/engine number etc is engraved into just the plastic, not the actual plate!
This right?? i was going to peel it all off....

On one of my previous wedges, I found the same (plastic over the vin plate).
On removing the plastic, I discovered that the VIN had been etched all the way through to the metal and simply removing the plastic layer made things easier on the eye.

Cheers Lee, hopefully its engraved on the plate. Worse case i can always get the numbers put back on.
Does look tatty, the plastic is peeling and lifting on the edges.

If you have access to a dremmel (or similar) you could go over the plastic into the vin plate before you remove it?
