Wiper settings

Hi,

My drivers side wiper goes further than it needs to and I think this is why it's scratched the windscreen on the top right corner. Is there a way of setting the wiper so it doesn't move so far?

Yes, undo the main wiper arm fixing bolt and move the arm up a notch on the splined shaft. Shouldn't take more than 2 minutes.

I have a similar problem with my passenger side wiper. Sometimes it doesn't return to the fully down position once switched off (the Mrs complains coz it blocks her view!). If I manually grab it and push it down it kinda clicks into place... if that makes sense?

Anyone know what I should adjust?

Job done, 5 minutes all sorted. Thanks Dave! just makes me wonder why the previous 2 owners didn't adjust them to save the windscreen getting scratched, ho hum

Hey Kenny! Well it was you who spotted the problem so you're to blame! But yes as an experienced TVR owner you did tell me that. I'm in the process of adding to my tool box as well...

BTW I checked the tyre pressures - fronts were on 32 PSI - expected following the wheel refurb. Rears were on 36 PSI no wonder it was a bit of a handful. Changed fronts to 25, rears to 26 - much better to drive

Explains a lot. Will help you stay on the tarmac on the way to LM Alignment check will be worth it as well. Shame the boot full of beer ( and large wingman ) will hit the power/weight ratio.

I take your point about my wingman, I'll make sure I tell him what you said As far as the beer goes our campsite has it on tap and they're doing breakfasts each morning and bbq's Fri and Sat night so no need for that extra weight of beer and cooking stuff!
