I've been fannying about with photoshop recently for a little competition on another site.
I know its not photography, but i just thought i'd post it up anyway.

Is the purpose of photoshopping cars to make it look like a photoshopped car, or is the purpose to make it look like a real car which has not been photoshopped?
This is obviously a photoshop, hence my comments

this is not so obvious, is it?

whereas this definitely is:

Generally, I aim for my photoshops to be photo-realistic, but there can be so many tell tale signs:
Conflicting shadow directions,
different lighting levels,
odd contrast,
odd colour hues,
incorrect reflections,
perspective issues.
If you have enough skill, time, and a good enough eye for detail then you could make it impossible to tell the difference between photo and photoshop, but i'm not that good yet.
I didn't think this was too bad the be honest, but I will admit it look like a heavily processed photo.
