Dear All,

I am looking for a pair of alloy Air vent surrounds for a 94 Chim, to complete with the rest of the alloy bits I have fitted. I have tried the usual supplier (Levens) but they have been out of stock for quite a while now (i can understand if they will discontinue, as i would imagine the demand will die off at some point)

I am looking for the pair that fit to the front of the Dash either side, by the doors (Not the demister ones under the screen)

I have been told that Cerb and Griff ones fit also?

Can anybody help? Good Second hand ones are an option to me

Thanks In Advance,

FB

I requested the dash (demister) vents from Leven last week, Jules said they needed a new supplier, if enough people request something , Leven usually respond eventually. Same applied to oil caps (to replace the yellow/black ones rather than the orange ones). I guess now most people that wanted Leven bits have already got them.

Editted for update...Glad you posted this... When Leven said they had none, I suddenly thought , I wonder if they think I mean the large vents and not the demister ones, so rang them again this morning...That was the case they have demister vents but not the large ones. So demister vents in the post and placed my name on the order book for the large ones.

I had pretty much the same conversation with Leven last week as well. I'm looking for all four. The Griffith ones look slightly different as they need to accommodate the tilt wheel. My thoughts on this were more or less:
- Pursuade Leven that there is a vast untapped market out there, or
- Find some somewhere in the dealer network,
- Talk to Bell Hill etc in case they have some,
- or speak to someone who is selling a car with them on, and offer a few bob !

Anyway - if anyone does find any/know of a supply, can I join the queue ?

We are looking at making the air vents in a slightly different way but still look the same. The new potential sub contractor is expected to give us details in the next week. We will then make a decision to proceed or not. If we make them details will be posted on our web site.

Can you also look at an aluminium upgrade for the terrible black air vents on the Cerbera?

Hope the same supplier to Leven will be doing the ashtrays for Chims as well? as same situation applies.

I reckon the aluminium surround round the drivers vent would be a big improvement around the passenger's vent. I tried to get one but breakers are only interested in selling you the complete dash below the sterring wheel.

Probably a cheap mod for Leven to produce??

Got mine on Monday, just fitted them, and look great. I glued them on with Araldite Rapid rather than Bostick, bit concerned Bostick might "melt" the plastic of the vent if it got in the wrong place. Hopefully they'll stay stuck. I didn't pair down the fibreglass to make a better fit, I was bothered about pulling back the fabric(Ambla), don't think much of my Chim is leather. Pulled the vents out a bit before attaching, then just pushed them back, not too bad a fit. They are a little expensive (£117 for 4), but they're a nice touch and now the vents match the rest of the dials etc. And as usual from Leven, they are a quality finish.
