Bless 'em, great cars but as we all know crap handbrakes!

Yesterday Devon TVRCC went for lunch down to Watergate Bay in Cornwall to sample Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' restaurant.

When Bomber was focussing all the cars were in the shot, but by the time the shutter closed they'd all run off down the car park due to handbrake trouble hehe

Not sure if this is the original thread or linking to it, but the humour is down to some chaps going for lunch then coming back to see a note in the windscreen saying something along the lines of -

You didn't put the handbrake on, the car was in the middle of the road blocking all the traffic so we pushed it back here.
Please note we've put a big rock behind your rear tyres.
Have a nice day.

IIRC the car park is quite flat at Watergate Bay. Took the Chimaera down there a couple of months ago, stayed at Beachcombers.

FFS don't ever do that! Believe me I know. Just get your handbrake sorted out.

Care to elaborate on that? It's well know that the handbrakes are pretty naff so leaving it in gear is one way to ensure it doesn't roll away.

Another confused

Between the dodgy handbrakes and the disks/pads trying to weld themselves together, I always leave mine in gear. Have done for years.

Another here. Always leave in gear whatever car [or bike] especially bike as it's easy to knock over off side stand if don't. [off topic sorry] but, Why not leave in gear???????
