megasquirt ecu abf

Hi there has any one set up one of these mega squirt ecu systems on an a mk3 2.0 16v abf?
how easy are thy to set up? and how much extra power could i expect?

Speak to a chap called toyotec on the edition 38 forums, very helpful and the fountain of all knowledge on anything VW+Megasquirt.

I drove a car he built/mapped the megasquirt for, admittedly in a MK2 but it went like stink!

can be used to replace the stock ECU but i am getting confused now. In another post you are considering going Eaton power on a ABF which i believe is in a mk2. Whilst a swap to megasquirt can be beneficial, as Dr.G has pointed out it allows precise fuel administration which has always been a weakness on a K-Jet set up so upgrading to a megasquirt ECU can be a good move but only if you know what you are doing. 'Toyotec' has done a good guide as has another guy here

I only know of a couple of garages near me where i could ask about megasquirt and they would know what i am talking about. You need to get in touch with a specialist who can explain how the system works... i believe you can spend hours and hours configuring the system via laptop and have to say that is well beyond me!

Cheers guys for your help! I spoke to my old school performance my local dub garage.

Who did the abf conversion and were gona go for the eaton charger route.

his mate has done one he now runs so will lend a hand with his knowledge.

I will let you know how i get on.
