Hey guys, I am new to the world of TVRs however absolutely love them to bits from what I've seen and heard...literally :-)

So I have a budget of £20k and it's really a toss up between the Tuscan, 350 or the Tamora and I really can't decide. Arrrrhhhhh I am stepping up from an MG TF so it's one hell of a leap either way!

So my question is that I don't have a garage, how sensible is it to leave one of these cars outside? I have safe parking however am worried about spending £20k on a car only for it to turn to rust.... :-( I can look to hire a garage however just wanted to know if anyone else kept theirs outside?

All help very much appreciated!

Alot of people do, i'd suggest searching the forum for car covers specifically, alot of great info has been shared there for such a scenario.

As long as you have some form of cover for the roof as convertible TVRs, well all TVRs aren't the most water tight cars there are rolleyes you should be alright. Personally I have always garaged mine. (Go for a Tuscan.) thumbup

Good luck in your hunt for a TVR.

I have kept my Tuscan outside in all weathers for over 3 yrs with no issues - she sits under a Covercraft Weathershield, which was a good investment and keeps the car clean, away from pollutants and prying eyes, and protects the paintwork. All in all - it works, and if you live in an area with permits, Covercraft provide a permit pack which allows you to cut out a segment, place a plastic screen over the hole, and hence job done.

I keep my Cerb outside on the drive & it's fine. Only problem came when I forgot to reseal an inspection cover & the car filled up with water during one of those crazy summer rainstorms. If you're getting a convertible one then it might be worth waterproofing the roof every other year or so (though my old Chim never had any water troubles).

Great thanks guys! I am edging towards a 350 now so I don't think waterproofing is going to be an issue :-)
