I’m now using the Gallardo every day and am putting on loads of miles.

Given that I will eventually need a new clutch, what are the first signs that something is going wrong?
Then if the clutch actually breaks what happens? ie do you get warning lights or will the car just jump out of gear

When my original clutch gave up at 3,000 miles the first i noticed was the engine revs climbing but not a proportional increase in speed, this was most notable in 4th and 5th accelerating at full throttle. Saying that, the best way is just to have it measured and figure out your likely mileage. My second clutch was replaced at 45,000 miles but still had 2mm left on the plate (form an original 5.6mm) it was actually the thrust bearing that needed replacing!

Difficult ot pull away

judders when pulling away

these are the usual signs. Any lambo dealer can plug the laptop in and give you a reading of what is left in mm and a percentage. should only take them 5 mins tops
