Chaps I'll be selling my turbo soon, brief spec below, im my mind with 12montsh MOT & 6months Tax I was looking at circa tad north of £4k- £4.5k & have a fiend v interested in it so i'll prob not even advertise it

'95 MX-5 California (13/300)
1.8 Manual
Sunburst Yellow
74k miles
All MOTs V well maintained.

Leather seats
Momo Steering wheel
Garret T25 Turbo
Cosworth Intercooler
Greddy Emanage fuel controller
Greddy Profec E-01 boost controller
Greddy turbo Timer
Spec Stage 2 Clutch
KYB AGX Adjustable 8 settings
FM Springs
FM Turbo Dual exit stainless exhaust
PiperX Induction air filter.
180BHP/163lbft@3736rpm 7psi

Hood a bit tatty.



However then I spot this one in the clasifieds, broadly similar spec & £6k

Who's is the turbo kit on yours? The other car has a FM kit which means I'd pay more for it than a Greddy kit. But I thought the Greddy only fitted on the 1.6. So who's manifold are you using?

The fact the other car is an iS so is a higher spec car and has an FM kit/Link ecu/550cc injectors/etc. would make it a more expensive car. However, I think yours is probably not far off being priced right (advertise for £4500, take £4000 or possibly a bit less) whereas the other is overpriced and should go for no more than £5000.
It's also black which will be much easier to sell than yellow which is a love or hate colour.

You're better off standardising the car and selling off the good bits on ebay or wherever and sell the car as an 'unmoleseted' example. Generally speaking you may get more in parts than the whole.

Actually, your looks like a 'home brew' kind of kit so £4k is unrealistic and not achievable IMHO

Hate to think what he has been towing with that !!!

In fairness that one does look to be at the bottom end of the turbo market with lots of room for improvement to be made/added

I sometimes think a tow bar would be usefull. A small trailer with track tyres in it would be handy evil

Or I did once see an MX5 towing a small sailing dingy. Not exactly going to stress the car that. smile
