I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about but I wouldn't mind a spot of advice....I have an 8 month old 111R with 5k miles on the clock and I have started noticing that horrible burning clutch whiff when changing down at high revs and when pulling away at anything more than tickover.

I'm not thrashing it and not riding the clutch - anyone else get the whiff or have i got problems buliding?!

The clutch smells easily - I always H&T (heel & toe) when downshifting every gear, especially when changing down at relatively high revs before the approach of a corner.

Can't say I've ever smelt my clutch (sounds a bit wrong) and I'm not exactly Miss Daisy (you watch it crumble in to pieces next time I drive it)

I've had that recently too - my Elise S is a month old with 1200 miles on the clock. Put it down to running in type smells, but it made a subdued screetch type noise pulling away at a junction on a hill twice the last week, but not done it since.
