Smoke'N smuts

I know a few have a passing interest so worth a mention that Strumpshaw Steam Museum are hosting the annual 3 day steam up. Most road going smokey things will be running/exhibiting along with many other mechanical vintage wonders. Starts this Friday and ends Monday evening.

Part of the event includes an lovely lady who entertains the crowd being very rythmic on her organ

Also starring the traction engine driver with the largest pipe in England! (see previous pic's on this website)

I'll be there tomorrow in my wellies. Today must have been a bit of a washout though. Shame, they had the same meteorological issues last year.

I'm gonna buy some random rusty tools and a speedo off a 1950s car, just because I can. You've gotta love the steam engine rally

I was there yesterday with my trusty old Bayliss Thomas, gently simmering on gas mark 2. Loads of stuff to see and spend money on. An invasion of invited American hotrods added to the rortie nature of the event with fine displays of open megaphone V8's.
Not sure about tomorrow what with the forecast of yet more rain, if I do get out it will be in B.T.

I passed the hotrods in Reedham on Saturday, didn't get a chance to have a good gawp though. Unfortunately
they where all following a horse drawn carriage, complete with bride and maids, so where taking it easy on their loud pedals.
