VXR8 rear bumper paint flake

The paint on the rear bumper is starting to come off just behind the wheels.
As anyone else had this if so what did the dealer say ?

ive not noticed the paint flaking on mine. i have noticed though that the paint is very thin around the number plate area. I mean really thin you can actually see through it!!!

My dealer said what do you expect shot peening the back bumper with gravel every time you boot it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have this on mine too, but just on the offside! Suggestions are it started as a small chip and paint was then blasted off by water and debris coming off the wheel. I just got it touched up using the touch up pen supplied with the car.

Hmm - have to watch this one. I think some poly-vinyl stone chip protector should help this.
