Hi all,

If one would add an induction kitt to his car, would that make a great difference in sound ?

My previous car (Celica GT) was really quiet, untill i bought this £ 60, "Stainless Steel Exhaust Box" which made a really difference.

It sounded like this now : Celica driveby

Now i've got my GTO Twin Turbo which is a bit quiet too, however i do like the 4 exhaust tips and don't want to replace them with 2 big ones you see on many GTO's.
Would adding an induction kitt make it sound more aggresive ?

Cheers,

Would it sound similar to added the big round back box or would it just be a tat louder ?

And erm, "HTH" ?

"happy to help"

an induction kit won't sound the same as a backbox, however...because its not really the same part at all.

Borla and Mongoose are common brands.

Thanks for that.

I was looking into a K&N induction kitt from a local shop though, i've heard they are good as well ?

This of one of the exhaust systems you see on many gto's :

However, would it be possible to buy 2 of these backboxes and have them fit on each site ? :

Why not go to somewhere like 'Longlife' and have a custom exhaust made as loud & with whatever rear boxes or tips you like ?

K&N's do make a difference, but only when you've got your foot on the pedal, i found mine only really roared when you really put your foot down, also depends on what size cone you get. And yeah ^^^ what he said about a custom exhaust, you can get 'em with pretty much whatever tail pipe you like, but could still roar even if it's only a small tip on it.

induction kit doesnt seem to make a lot more difference in sound on a turbo car. Just get a bit more turbo noise
