Cable just broke on way to work.
Is it standard Ford part, or do I need to go to specialist ?
Many Thanks.
Alun.

Hi Alun, 2 different cables were used on the 1600M, the way of telling is that the early type has a rubber compression bobbin and washer at the alloy casting end of the cable. PM me and I can check the measurements against what I carry.

Ahanks Adrian, been sorted by local auto supplies !!!!!!!!!!!!
They were more shocked than me to have one in Stock.
Same cable as 'standard' car, but you of course will be in that knowledge.
Thanks very much once again.
Alun.

Great...I only carry the 3000M cable, but there is a conversion to convert cars that used the RHD bellhousing to LHD and I carry that....it might of been the same (the LHD runs dual cables, linked together), in my lifetime I think I have supplied 1 and supplied and fitted 1, in 30 odd years....I don't chase numbers from any thing but TVR as one car is rarely the same as the other, that is how I know there are 2 versions....note that eyelet sizes on after market Ford items are M6 and TVR 1/4 (it might need drilling) and check that the lever arm off the pedal is packed to mimic the eyelet width and not done up too tight (nipped up and released a flat) Adrian@
