Retrofit aircon - T350

Hi there,

Has anyone retrofitted aircon into a T350? Any idea how much it might cost/how complicated it is? (mine's in 03 plate)

I've got a targa, but felt pretty hot the other day when stuck in a traffic jam on the way back from snetterton.

Around 2k pounds. The same as the option cost new.

No doubt there will now be a discussion on whether aircon works/is needed. FWIW I have to turn mine off unless its really hot as the Mrs gets too chilled. Never had it recharged in 4 years since new and it still works fine too (unless they do this when the engine comes out ... didn't say anything).

Personally I need the air con on the Sagaris, its way too hot in there at the moment (given a 15+ minute drive, aka every drive in the Sagaris) - then again I`m one of those people who find winter in a t-shirt too warm

I do think I need the air con regassed as its not as cold as I would have like it, I possible also need to follow Graham's guide on sorting the hot/cold air flow (aka hot air still flows even when a/c is on)

For the odd days we get when it is 25 degrees or warmer or if you drive to the continent then air-con makes the cabin more comfortable assuming it has been set up correctly. It took a fair bit of fiddling on to get my Sagris a/c to work well and then it was a case of being off or freezing cold air with a few splashes of moisture blown out for good measure! Doubtful if its worth £2k.

Just proving my aircon the last week or so, and totally sorted after doing the DIY guide again

Have freezing cold air comming through ALL VENTS if i want now

Note to original post; To get cold air without aircon
Make sure you have:-
1. A dividing panel on the passenger side
2. Set the flap zero correctly
search against my profile for aircon for full detail

how much of that is parts, and how much is labour?
anyone know of a cheeper deal out there?

I read your other posting and its something I`m going to have to give a try as the warmer weather comes in..

I think if I could just stop the hot air to the vents then the air-con cooled air would be perfect.

Do all your vents produce air correctly? (aka set to 50% warm and its correct, 100% warm then all are warm?) - If so I`d love to know the secret
