Start doing your rain dances now, we could have one of those great Monacos that make all the processions in the streets worth it (although I always look forward to this race)
Thread starts on Wednesday. Why? Because Monaco is different and practice starts on Thursday, remember?

So who will it be? McLaren's shorter wheelbase to handle the turns or have Ferrari done enough with the new car? Beemers in the mix or will the midfield spring a surprise? How long will Max last in his first GP appearance since a certain evening out??

discussing this with my brother who came back with this gem of a reply
"The year is 1984, I have a 800 bhp toleman, rubbish tyres and balls as big as a dinosaurs. It is raining, I mean really raining, people are binning it left right and centre. There is no traction control, no engine management, no active ride. The most advanced piece of electronics in the cockpit, is strapped to my arm and is currently telling me the time.
Basically these cars had horrible turbo lag, and no torque. This was evident by the fact that the next person on the road was Bellof in a normally aspirated Tyrell.
At the end of the day heroes was made that day, Both Senna and Bellof blew the establishment away, only Prost managed to keep it on the track (and to be far he was thinking about the championship, so had more to lose). These modern drivers that moan about the lack of TC and stuff, forget that these cars are infinitely more drivable than the old turbo cars, and they should just get on with it."
pretty much sums up my thoughts really. if these so called best twenty drivers in the world (as james allen would have us believe) cant get round monaco in the rain this weekend, they should hang up their helmets and retire. you cant overtake at monaco, even less so if its raining. its going to be so dull.

I've never gone for this "gun-go" attitude some people write about when comparing the history for F1- its like they are saying drivers should not be like Prost above, they should be likle Bellof and Senna.
