WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE ALCANTARA INTERIOR IN THE X6 ? ?

I'm a big fan of alcantara as i had several Lancia Integrales with it on the seats and door trims.

It is a surprisingly tough and stain resistant material.

I think it looks good in the X6 as it mixed with leather but i'm sure some people will view it as looking like a 'half leather' option.

But if you like it, buy it!

Its the same price as regular leather, so BMW dont see it as the 'cheap' option. Might be a bit different, but i would personally go for leather - not that anyone is going to buy one for its residual values.

I have alcantara in my 325 - the seats still look new after 3 years whereas leather tends to look tatty after a short while. Leather also squeaks when cold and I find that I tend to slide around in the seat during agressive cornering. Saying this I think I would go for leather in a luxury car just because of the potential resale issue
