Suspension cups for Tuscan

Hi all, need some advice on suspension on my 2000 Tuscan. At recent service my local main dealer does the sharp intake of breath bit and tells me that the 'suspension cups' need replacing very soon,and tells me £750 plus VAT. I say I'll leave it for now, but yesterday I noticed the ride changed dramatically and suddenly, so I suspect this is the issue. Replacing the cups looks fairly simple, are there any recommendations for suppliers? Are there any pitfalls I should know about replacing them myself?

Looks like a 60mm diameter aluminium (I think) cog with about 6 teeth.
