Coolant hose S3c

This morning to the local Ford garage for the APK (= Dutch MOT). Car passed without a problem. About 500 m from home suddenly massive amounts of steam from under the bonnet. Hose connecting swirl pot and water pump (the one crossing the belt) had ruptured.
A search on this forum showed some possibilities for replacement: Astra 1.3 '85-'89, QH RH 1888 (not made any more), bendable hose from Halfords.
Any other suggestions?
