readJust spent the last two weeks crawling around under the Cerb(98 4.5)cleaning up & painting the chassis & suspension.I know its been said many times before about chassis condition, but its not until you start poking around your own car that you discover how nasty things can get under peeling powder coating.Fortunately theres no holes in the chassis, but the scariest thing i found was corrosion on the front top wishbones, particularly bad near the front mounting points.I have sourced replacements so they will be goin on the car asap!So next time your out polishing the car on a sunny day, take a look underneath!!!~BEWARE! of what you might find!!

Tis true, there are some scary bits under there. yes

Don't forget to check the rear too.

Here's my rear upper wishbone:

Are you sure your wishbones actually needed replacing? Here's the same wishbone after blasting and repainting, a bit pitted but plenty of life left in it:

If you have replaced yours, can I have the old ones - please. smile

castle sports cars at Stansted now do complete Chassis Restoration of all TVR MODELS. The cost of this one was 6.5 k but when I ask about costs they said they start from about 2.5k, they also said that you could still buy new chassis from about 4.5k, why have the 6.5k one then?

take a look at link below.
