How much movement would you expect on the input shaft ?

Any recommendations for re-sealing all the covers & more importantly the middle section/main join between the box & tail? Can the tail of the box just be un-bolted & re-sealed ??

Thanks

It's quite normal to be able to move the end of the input shaft a little bit as it's only supported by one bearing until the box is mated with the engine and the other end is supported by the pilot bearing. How much exactly I couldn't say, a few mm I'd have thought.

Tks Mike, mind at rest now its only a mil or so smile If it was that it needed anything done to it it would probabaly have had to wait anyway...
