Test drove sprint yesterday as I'm not sure if I should take the Noble to OZ or get an Exige S (Or Exige and S/C when over there). I have until August to decide as you have to own the car here for a year if you want to take one out.

I must say that although it was probably moving just as quick as My M12 it just didn't feel fast. I wanted to over take a car in a short distance and it got past but without the confidence that I was going to do it easily. (its probably better on track).

Also I noticed that if you change gear quickly and floor the throttle there is a slight delay before your back into revs (think its the fly by wire set-up), maybe something you have to get used to!

When overtaking in the Noble if your in the right gear its explosive and you just catapult past cars.

Has anyone else driven these? if so what do you think?

I've had an S1 elise with about 160 bhp for 2 weeks now and have been out in it about 4 times. First 2 times I wondered what the heck I'd done and if I wasn't planning on racing it I think I would have just sold it on again and kept the Noble, but after a couple more drives (and a good tinker with the nitron settings and tyre pressures) I have to report getting just as wide a grin in just as many situations as when out on the road in the Noble!

I think I may even find it more fun eventually once I've got it fully race prepped. (seats, cage, harnesses, map and RR session, geo, exhaust etc)

That is almost certainly also due to it costing my £9k and probably only another £2-3k to get it to baing a pretty nifty track day car.

It'll never be as fast as a Noble, but I think it'll be much much much more biggrin's per £$£$.

I think in OZ your best bet would be the new Elise SC. You know you'll love getting the top off, just like all the girls do!wink

You can still take the roof off the Exige and I think its a better looking car than the Elsie but it was just the acceleration wasn't exciting.

To be honest what you have or doing would be my best bet. Get and old S1 and set it up for track use and just do more track days, but I just can't force myself to sell the Noble (mainly because of all the money I've put into it over the last 2.5yrs).

Honda Civic Type R engines fit in these quite nicely.(supercharged?)
I thought long and hard about building one then remembered the last time I got out of an elise/exige was head first on my hands and kneeshehe
There are a few out there racing.
