Anyone want to bet what this traffic cop will get for being 4 times over the drink drive limit?

Bearing in mind - there's no mention of speeding!

12 month ban
£1000 fine
She will stay on sick leave (paid for by the tax payer) and sometime in the not to distant future will take early retirement on health ground and full pension.

Offense as it stands = Maybe up to 6 months ban and a VERY hefty fine, or being a copper just a fixed penalty (well its an easy 60 as opposed to taking a source of revenue off the road for too long)

If speeding were added = 25 Year jail sentance followed by a 3 century driving, eating, sleeping and living ban, public beatings, put on the child molester register, and forced to work in prison as a double glazing salesman and made to eat gherkins with a straw.

hmm.. 4 times over the limit is, I think, seriously risking a custodial sentence.

Depending on the magistrate, who might like to make an example of someone who should know better, she could be eating more carpet than carbohydrates for the forseeable future.

She'll certainly be kicked out of the force and lose her pension though, I'd have thought.

The Sun said:
The court was told the officer was tackling her drink problem by attending Alcoholics Anonymous five times a week.

She attends AA 5 times a week. And on one of her 2 nights off gets bladdered, and goes for a drive. I think she might have a problem.

I wouldn't be surprised if she sues the force for exposing her to stress by "working" a 92 hr week. Proberbly get a £1/4 M payout and full pension.

if you give a reading over 80mg on the intoximeter, you then become a high risk driver! i cant remember exactly but the magistrates guidelines recommend a minimum ban of 18 months/2 years and given her position and knowledge of the law, i would think that she will be banned for 2 and a half to 3 years and a fine of around £1000- £1200!

Sorry, but in my view, you uphold the law, you abide by it.

Bloody disgraceful.
