PS3 + Cable question
Discussion
Just bought a rather tasty 24inch monitor to run the home PC/PS3/360 off....
However it doesnt come with speakers, thats ok for likes of the PC and 360 as they have component leads.
What do I do with the PS3 though - is there a cable to split off the HDMI signal and the audio separate so I can run it through a small amp?

The av multi out has the red, white and yellow connectors but i'm not sure if you can use the HDMI (for picture) and av multi (red and white for sound) at the same time. If not then optical seems your only option.
You can actually as thats what i do. HDMI to the TV and the av multi cable to th hi-fi. Or, you can get a component cable for the PS3 but from what i've heard HDMI offers much better picture quality.Edited by scooby wrx sti on Monday 26th May 10:07
