That's what I thought. Anyone had experience of these at Silverstone?Just used one of these at the Monaco GP this weekend and I think it's a fantastic gadget. Lap/section times, the leaderboard and on board cams work really great. Very useful if you want to follow a favorite driver or particular battle. Also the 'normal' TV feed is broadcast. I don't know about the system used at Le Mans, but the F1 handhelds had lineout for audio and mini USB (don't know for what).

While I'll generally be following things with RLM I've reserved a Kangaroo TV to keep tabs on the running order - RLM only do a full running order every few hours and if your on the camp site trying to follow the car 6th in GT2...R.

I think RLM give an update at least every hour. A Kangaroo should be great off circuit, and you'll get to see replays of any incidents that occur anywhere on the track. However, I'll be mostly in the circuit or having a night-time kip in the car in Parking Blanc, so RLM will do me fine!

Don't try using the Kangaroo units in the campsites as they won't work there. They are really only effective within the paddock and Tribune areas - it's a line of sight issue.
The English language feed on them will be Radio le Mans by the way.
I think they are great for the live timing and scoring screens.
Oh and I think someone told me Radio le Mans are going to do race updates as a download to your mobile...

If that's true it will be an arse - whole point of getting one is to stay in contact when I'm NOT sat in the grandstand (facing a huge screen)!Oh well, at least it will give me something to be a grumpy old man and complain at them about
