Volvo 480 - What to look for?

I am looking at getting a Volvo 480 - but a quick bit of research on the internet suggests that they are not the most reliable of cars.

What should I look for when buying one? any common problems?

i have had some bad luck with cars in the past. alot of problems. but i bought a 480 last september, the best investment i have made. runs like a tank, safe too. i had someone rear end me from 30mph-o and the back bumper barley rippled.so much luxury for your money aswell. i would say look out for faulty flip lights, sun roof because they sometime come off the runners easily. but you will have alot of fun,
