Hi guys, i'm seriously considering buying a 456 to replace my current 911 as my daily drive.

Could anyone with experience with these cars let me know how user friendly they are as a daily use car, and what to look out for when viewing. Any other pointers would be appreciated.

Cheers.

hi, as a daily driver why not?, It will be more costly than the 911, and approx 12 mtg in traffic, not the most econominal. Saying that Ferrari built them to show you could use it as a daily family car and to get more on the road. I would look at Modificato model post 98 as this was the improved model , vents were taken from the bonnett, grill widened, air flow was improved, youll see this on the write ups on 456.Also interior designed changed, radio position, and dials for aircon.
Also on the earlier models you see the central dash coming away, just general wear/tear, but one to look out for. They can have electrical niggles, but not enough to put u off the car.
Also look for dodgy pop up lights, these can be an issue.
I also ensured the Cambelts had just been done, as these have to be done every couple of years and can ramp up costs on servicing. Other criticism is i feel the wheels at 17inches should have been bigger, but thats personal choice and of course can be changed.
I find it a reliable, quick and beautiful to look at!,
Ive only had mine since March so no expert, but i asked advice from PH, so only right to pass it on if it helps. Cheers
