Speedo not working

Evening all

After a weekend covering a lot of miles she gave me a new problem on the way back today in the pouring rain. The speedo stopped working (both dial and lcd display) so showed 0mph....

Rest of the LCD and rev dial work fine so bit confused.

Anyone seen this themselves? Wondering if the heavy rain we have had today has done something so will hopefully right itself once dry (if it ever stops raining long enough for me to wash her and cover her up again!)

This is a common fault and rectified by a new speed sensor. I had mine changed two years ago and no probs since

[L1OFF]

before you spend any money, wait for it to dry out (maybe water in sensor connector, the sensors are not IP65 Waterproof!!))and then check the sensor adjustment.

She's going in tomorrow for some work anyway so hopefully we'll have some dry weather to give it a chance

How would I adjust the sensor anyway? My mechanically skills are not exactly top class...

Oh and how much is a new sensor if that is the case?
