Here's a website with prices in French though

http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/

As has already been said; I think with the exchange rate at the moment though, you won't save much if anything by buying petrol in france.

I have been going over to France and Belgium a lot lately

I now tend to fill up at Dover, then maybe a 'Spash and Dash' before returning to Dover for another refill.

That site has derv at pretty much the same price as petrol?! Last time I was there it was still 20 or 30 cents less than petrol and that was only at Easter!

According to that site, Super U in Arnage has it at EUR 1.44 per litre, which works out at £1.15 a litre.

On a tankful, there's still a fiver to be saved.

I have just filled up at 1.44 euros / litre for Gasole. The last fill up cost me 1.24 euros / litre on 4th May.

I then filled my 20l Gerry can with 98 octane for my trackday car and it was so expensive, I could not bear to get a receipt.

Considering that there is much less tax on fuel here, it is becoming very expensive especially if you have to fill up on the Autoroute.

I am pretty certain that you will find it a bit cheaper in UK superstore.

I filled up with 98 yesterday ready for the weekend here at Le Mans. I've asked my banker for a loan - over £100 it cost. If you work on about £1.20 a litre you won't be far out when the time comes. Diesel is cheaper than in the UK but not by much - same price as 95 petrol now here.

I never thought I'd see the day when Brits filled their cars up in Dover before travelling over.

At least the weather is likely to better, there are fewer scameras and the roads will be less congested.
