End of a dream !!

Well after living 5 years of the ultima dream it came to an end today ,the Can-am finaly sold .
Watching it go down the road with someone else driving it felt like someone was running off with my lovely daughter never to bring her back !!
The last 4 years has been abit of a blur ,the high points have to be a trip to Le-mans and Santa pod ,winning 6 awards at shows and generally getting a awsome response were ever i took her ,also being part of pistonheads has been very important and without it i feel Ultima ownership would be lonely affair !!!
The low points ............well to be honest there was a few !!! but in the end i managed to fix most of them !!!
A few thanks .........the factory for supplieing a top quality kit ,Stigs website's, without them the build would have been alot harder !!
Kieth , Wayne , Crafty , Pete, Kyle ,Russ and everyone who's constant piss taking and banter has always made me laugh.
Steve d , i call him Mr Ultima what he does not know is not worth knowing !!
Rob,Gary,james and Phil who let me follow them around the country to various shows and not get lost !!! must have saved me a fortune in petrol !!
Graham who,s effort to get his Can-am to the stage it is is a credit to him and i hope to see him at many shows in the future !! .
Nick i hope you enjoy her and she keeps you safe !!
Last thing before i open a bottle and get hammered thanks to Dawn and Jake who supported me through this whole project ,with out them it would have not been as much fun ..

It must indeed be weird watching it drive away when you have put everything youve got into it!! Someone indeed has got themselves agreat motor.
We are down to 2 Ults in france when at one time there was 5 going but thats life.... Im looking forward to france and im glad im not the only one going in a 'normal car' but mine is a lot more normal than your tasty BMW, mine is an oil burner. At least we can laugh at Russ and Graham filling up with fuel constantly.

Simon - congrats and I hope to see you again at some stage - just packing for Cyprus tomorrow and thought I better flick on here to se whats going on! Great news mate - hope the new owner takes good care - just know it must feel a little weird seeing your pride and joy off down the road with some one else at the wheel - never to return. Bet you can still smell the beast in the garage!
If you get any withdrawal symptoms I may just be able to give you a spin - and if your up for Kimbolton still (as I am) then just buzz me and you may gladly be my passenger... Or maybe the factory open day - hmmmm maybe not..

Well done for selling. Don't know why it took so long. Good car that, I hope the buyer will become one of the troop.
Enjoy your break from it and come out the other side with something even more shiny and just as much of a head turner. Can't think what just now. But you know that no other car will ever come close!!

Owning an Ultima has been itch I have waited 13 years to scratch, since I first clapped eyes on an Ultima Sport, so driving the Can Am home today was a very special moment. Despite the worst efforts of the British weather I made it back and enjoyed the drive. Since then I have been marvelling at the quality of the build you have done. Rest assured a good home has been found.

If it helps, I just look at it that I'm 'in between' Ultimas. I'd definitely have another, but need to wait for the family to grow up a bit to justify a strict 2-seater again

Thanks for the support guys ,its a odd feeling ,ive wanted to sell for a while but never rearly gave it any thought about how i would feel when its gone !!!
Stig,would love to build another but some things would have to change , like you i would only consider a more modern engine but to be honest i think my building days are over !!!
