Sorry for another one of my music threads but halfway through my journey to work this morning i realised that the tunes i were listening to were just wrong....in fact they were embarrasingly wrong and i just wonder if anyone else has ever had...........James Blunt on in their Lotus or even someone worse??.

I cant even blame the missus for putting it in the stereo as 1) she cant drive 2)hates the Lotus and 3)hates James Blunt.

Needless to say once i realised what i was listening to and indeed at quite a high volume with the windows down i immediately fished into the net behind my seat and replaced it with some quality.................................
Huey Lewis and The News - Fore.

Rock on.....biggrin

I have 5000 flippin' songs on my iPod. Why is it that when I'm in the car and the iPod is in full shuffle mode, I end up skipping 90% of the songs just because they aren't 'right' for 1) the car 2) my mood or it's the 1 song on an album that I hate!!! (What's the point) rolleyes

Tell me about it - I get this too!! I think this is where the Playlists come into their own - might have to crank up the i-tunes and get cracking!

Bad lotus driving songs...any sappy love song really, I even find that some of the cheesy pop works quite well at times! My favourite has still got to be 'Dielel Power' by the Prodigy...just awesome!

I seem to have a CD stuck in my car on repeat. All I can ever hear is a loud booming rasp and constant rattling with occasional clonks. It gets very boring after about an hour on the M42, but at least there are a few different rattles which swap around from time to time for some variety.

My wife once stitched me up badly for refusing to let her drive the Lotus - as only women can.

I had started my morning run and was at the lights where a big crowd always gathered as it was a bus stop area. I'm looking all cool, slip the tape in to get some AC/DC as the lights change.....and bloody 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA comes at me at full blast!!

She had actually removed the tape, put ABBA on, and replaced it in the exact same position I leave the tapes, ready to push and play.

I'm petrified of divorcing her now.

I have no radio in my Lotus, merely a VHPD with a decatted Janspeed biggrin

I do take the iPod and earphones on a long journey though, more as noise cancellation as anything else. I listen to a lot of dance music... fast-paced stuff, which is in keeping with how the Exige makes me feel smile

Since reverting to the S1 a lot more classic rock is being played. There's no place for James Blunt in any music player of mine. And lets make that timebound... EVER!

Good comments there, Miss Notax, Gooby and Vlad. smile I'm pleased to see I can talk about this freely, now.....

Gooby - touche...and it is the original Pionneer unit, too! Collectors stuff. Have never bothered with the radio, but the tapes sound OK, methinks.
