yes but the flashes were RED not blue and there were no markings on the road so double flash prooves nothing if there is no distance markings!

anybody else have any ideas?

AFAIK, Truvelo is the only front facing camera that takes snapshots (unlike SPECS) - part of the object of the truvelo is to identify the driver as well as the car.. the light is red as this provides infra-red assistance.

I can e-mail you a photo of this infernal thing if you want......... have quite a few on file but can't seem to attatch it to a reply here.........
It's a hobby of mine to make the police very visible by standing near their traffic traps with my camera on a tripod photoing them! It's funny how many cars panic when they see my back (large RADAR on it)and the highwaymen lose out!

These cameras are everywhere on the A14. They normally have lines, but not like conventioal gatsos: three lines very close together across the whole width of the road, placed just in front of the camera.

If your friend missed the camera, then he probably didn't clock the lines either, as he'd have been on top of them when the flash went off.

hertsbiker, very simple, I wear a donkey jacket with Radar chalked on the plastic bit. Only need to take it off when the unwashed approach and then its no longer there.... it rubs off when taking it off... And they're soooo obvious when they approach!!!

I always wondered how Westlands met the ground speed spec point for the Apache (sorry WAH-64) - Now I know !
