Well it looks like Im going to be spending the weekend up in Reading for business this long weekend.

So since I have a car with fixed-price fuel (company car) and a lot of time on my hands, im going to make up a large board saying "WARNING - SPEED TRAP AHEAD" and go laservan hunting

Should be a nice weekend weatherwise so its better than sitting indoors being board.

Any good "accident blackspots" that anyone can recommend in the reading / berkshire area?

Gh0st, sadly I'm off on hols tonight or I'd join you!

Your spots should be (in Reading):

1) A329 Vastern Road (dual carriageway behind station) - they sit in central reservation
2) A329/A4 Kings Road (one way East out of centre to A3290) - they sit in bus lane + bus stops
3) A4 Bath Road (west from centre) - there's a short stretch of 2 lanes and then lights with a brow behind them. And guess what, they sit behind the brow....

This weekend is the Reading festival - which means they could be busy dealing with that, or more likely - out to get the peeps who don't know our roads!

Good luck! Give Superintendant Olney my regards

I assume as a PHer you are driving! If not, watch out for rail chaos!

Obviously when 80,000 disgustingly dirty kids who can't drive yet need to get to Reading it's the best time to close the Reading-Paddington InterCity route.... (apparently so not to p!ss off the commuters further).

Actually its funny. I didnt even have a car license until the trains pissed me off so much.

So basically I got my car driving license BECAUSE of the public transport system.

Interesting....! :|

Ghost! You may wish to put the signs up some way in front of the trap on both directions of the road, then stand back and watch ze fun.
Alternatively, go have a word with the operator, see what they say...

Hmm - you could do with someone 100 yards behind the van with another sign - "Tips, please"

All in the interest of road safety.

Cracking idea! All proceeds to the guy who's fighting the law in the European courts.
