For all you Reason fans I created another remake of a JMJ-track. This time Magnetic Fields Part 2 was the 'victim'. Using only standard Reason and some samples of the original instruments I tried to make a faithfull recreation of this song. So here's an MP3-version to listen right away, and a Reason 4 projectfile to keep you occupied in this nifty program:

Have fun and enjoy!

I was ready to be super critical of this, but actually you've done a pretty damn good job smile

yes That's very good - I think there's a couple of chord sequences which are introduced a little too early, but I could be wrong on that (I prefer the ending of Magnetic Fields 1 to the whole of 2). Ending sounds like it could've been lifted though smile

I did a heck of a lot of JMJ tunes on a SoundTracker-like system in the past, but haven't done any with my setup at all (I do have Reason 3, but I never liked the sequencer, so use Logic instead).

I've update the lead sound in the song. Through a Combinator I use both the Thor and a Malstrom for some added PWM. The lead now sounds much closer to the original. The above links are updated with the new files. Have fun! wink

A faithful cover version, well done! Shame it's that track though, has to be Jarre at his cheesiest!

If I'm playing that album I have to skip the first and last tracks of side 2.
